Dr. Arash Emami

Dr. Emami is an internationally recognized board certified spine surgeon. He has been named as one of “New Jersey and New York Metropolitan Top Doctors” four years in a row. He was also named as one of “America’s Top Spine Surgeons” by Consumer’s Research Council of America.

Dr. Emami graduated from University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine with honors in 1994 and thereafter, completed his orthopaedic training at the University of Chicago. He then moved to San Francisco where he completed his fellowship in spinal surgery.

Since his fellowship, Dr. Emami has traveled internationally in order to further enhance his knowledge of complex spinal procedures and minimally invasive techniques. His practice is limited to treatment of spinal disorders with expertise in minimally invasive spinal surgery, complex spinal reconstruction, complex cervical procedures and scoliosis reconstruction.

He was the first surgeon to perform ” state of the art ” total disc replacement in Lumbar and cervical spine in the state of New Jersey. He is currently the director of Spinal surgeries at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, and he is a Clinical assistant Professor at NYU/ Hospital for Joint disease.
He has maintained an active interest in research and has published numerous articles and book chapters. He has presented original articles at North American Spine Society, Scoliosis Research Society and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery. He has been a guest lecturer at many major Universities and Institutions. He is an active member of North American Spine Society, Scoliosis Research Society, American Academy Of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is the Chairman of the Orthopedic Department at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Paterson, NJ

Dr. Emami has been interviewed by national and local news channels including NBC and Fox News, and star ledger. Dr Emami is also a consulting team physician for the New York Rangers.
