Introduction

Helder Rebelo, MSPA, PA‑C, is a dedicated and experienced physician assistant specializing in orthopedic spine care at University Spine Center. With over two decades of clinical experience, he has developed a broad understanding of both non-surgical and surgical approaches to managing spinal conditions.

Helder began his career in family medicine, where he developed a strong commitment to providing patient-centered, compassionate care. Over time, he shifted his focus to orthopedic spine surgery, where he supports patients through every stage of their treatment, from initial evaluation to recovery.

At University Spine Center, Helder works closely with a team of spine surgeons and specialists, assisting in surgical procedures and helping manage a wide range of spinal disorders. His responsibilities include pre-operative assessments, intraoperative support, post-operative care, and long-term patient follow-up.

Known for his thoughtful and approachable manner, Helder is valued by patients and colleagues alike for his compassion, attentiveness, and genuine commitment to patient well-being. He strives to listen carefully and provide care that respects each individual’s needs.

Outside of work, Helder enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He also enjoys fishing, target shooting, weight lifting, exploring new restaurants, and visiting Atlantic City. A passionate sports fan, Helder roots enthusiastically for the New Jersey Devils, New York Giants, and New York Yankees. These interests provide a balance to his busy professional life.
