At University Spine Center, our pain management specialists, Pamela D’Amato, MD, and Sophia Yae, DO, offer advanced treatments to help patients find relief from spine-related pain. One of the most common procedures we perform is the epidural steroid injection, which delivers anti-inflammatory medication directly around the spinal nerves.
Epidural steroid injections can be administered in the cervical (neck) or thoracic (upper and mid-back) regions of the spine. These injections help reduce pain, swelling, and irritation caused by conditions such as herniated discs, spinal stenosis, nerve compression, and degenerative disc disease.
After treatment, patients often experience less pain in the neck, shoulders, and upper back, fewer muscle spasms, and improved mobility. For many, this minimally invasive procedure allows them to return to their daily activities more comfortably without relying heavily on pain medications.
With the expertise of Dr. D’Amato and Dr. Yae, patients receive personalized and compassionate care designed to reduce pain and enhance their quality of life.
We specialize in spine, pain management, vascular, and hand disorders, offering both surgical and non-surgical treatments.
