At University Spine Center, Dr. Sophia Yae, DO, offers Botox treatments not only for migraines but also for chronic pain related to muscle stiffness, spasms, or temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders. Botox works by relaxing overactive muscles and blocking pain signals, helping patients feel more comfortable and move more freely.
Patients may experience reduced muscle tension, less pain, and improved daily function. Treatments can also reduce the frequency and intensity of migraines for those affected. Botox is a non-surgical, outpatient procedure, allowing patients to return to their normal activities shortly after treatment.
The procedure is quick and minimally invasive, with small amounts of Botox injected directly into the affected muscles. Most patients experience only minor discomfort, comparable to a slight pinch. Results typically appear over several days to a couple of weeks, and follow-up treatments may be recommended every three months for continued relief.
We specialize in spine, pain management, vascular, and hand disorders, offering both surgical and non-surgical treatments.
