At University Spine Center, our lower extremity and limb salvage procedures aim to restore healthy blood flow to the legs and feet, helping to protect tissues and reduce the risk of amputation. These treatments are typically recommended for patients suffering from severe peripheral artery disease (PAD), circulation issues related to diabetes, or acute conditions that threaten the limbs.

The primary goal of these procedures is to save the limb while alleviating pain, improving mobility, and enhancing the overall quality of life. Depending on the patient’s specific condition, treatment options may include angioplasty and stenting to open blocked arteries, bypass surgery to reroute blood around obstructions, or minimally invasive endovascular therapies to restore circulation.

Our experienced vascular surgeon Massimo M. Napolitano uses advanced techniques to provide personalized care that focuses on long-term vascular health, pain relief, and improved function. By restoring blood flow and addressing circulation problems early, we help patients protect their legs and feet while maintaining their independence and quality of life.
